Each piece of driftwood has been selectively chosen off the beautiful California coastline. My approach to these works is an intuitive process... time is taken to sand down each piece uncovering it's natural beauty. Sometimes old redwood is uncovered and rediscovered. Then listening and seeing ...I give life and form to the whimsical imagery Beauty is discovered and uncovered. When doing personal custom pieces for clients, I do a one on one council session listening to the individual and what their working with and going through at these times of great change. I then translate the council session into whimsical imagery bringing light and life...creating a treasure for your chest.
