Live Painting Prayerformance

In Tara's Live Painting Prayerformances, she catalizesand Inspires the creative heART through weaving together Dance, Music, and Paint as a live Performance. The choreography is what’s happening in the Present Moment. The Intention is set, listening, following your intuition, embracing the rhythms of change, Breath, Let go. You design your dance, your designing your life. The ART is Now

A commision to Paint a series called Dancing through the Elemental Changes. (can be seen at 100 Larkspur Landing in Larkspur. California) presented me with a challenge: how does the artist get from the beginning to the end of a painting, through my love of movement and dance as a practice, and my love for Painting as a practice? My response was: I will show you! Braiding those together through HeARTisry in MOTION. Creating Art for Evolutionary Change.

The Creative Current

There is this place where the dancer can access when the drummers are in their current of connection. It creates a union, where the music moves the dancers feet, and the dancer is moved by the music. Inside that space is your creative connecting link. Spinning through this space one reaches a trance-like state. It is a place where one can offer their prayers, their "letting go’s," accessing memory and or opening themselves for a vision. This is the place where runners and athletes get to when they hit the ZONE.

drumThe paint is a personal investment. Quality Paint is key, because you never know when you will create a masterpiece. Listening inside the collective mind becomes a creative colloboration. I like to include the audience as it brings them closer into my unified experience. Some people will get so inspired and Activated, and some can do without seeing or understanding this form of ARTistry. To know the range of the Wheel of perception inside The ARTISTIC CRITIC: people will love it, like, feel neutural, dislike or even hate. The key and practice is to not be at the effect of what others think say or do. This is why in my performances I embrace the light and the dark. Beacause they exist in all of us. They are very much a part of the Artistic Process. I bring them to life, taking form as dancers playing out the mind of the Artistic Critic. Dancing my Canvas’s AWAKE!

drumPerforming and dancing with my Canvas inside the collective mind, colloborating with other dancers and musicians sets the foundation 1st Round. After the performance I let the canvas dry under the Moon or the Sun depending what time of day. The next day, second round, I do a recall of the experience and study the canvas, and see where and what wants to come forward. This for me is the exciting part because there are many faces, and beings, animals that show themselves. It’s up to me if I want to give them life. If you look close enough, the eyes take you on a colorful journey of SEEING. You will see what you see. And feel what you will feel. How do I know when I’m done? people ask...It’s all in the feeling and practice of listening. The canvas becomes a Mirror, a roadmap, of a Journey through the heART.
